Week 37 ~ Cedar Point!

I. LOVE. AMUSEMENT. PARKS!
If you do, you must visit Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. It is amazing!  I love Halloween even more so it was great to go during Hallowsweekend with 6 Haunted Houses and tons of awesome decorations.
The park first open in 1870 as a "public bathing beach" right on Lake Erie and built their first roller coaster in 1892, 25 mph and 10 foot tall. Quite a different story at the park today!! We had a blast, I almost lost my voice from screaming so loud & I almost lost my stomach because I was so anxious of the unexpected. What a blast we had with our wonderful family!

This mind blowing coaster (Top Thrill Dragster) stands 420 feet tall and top speed is 120 mph!!
The ride only takes 17 seconds.

I chose this photo to link up with Rebecca over @ Simple Things for

What an amazing ride Millennium Force was! 310 feet in the air, 80' angle drop and reaches top speeds at 93 mph!

Mantis is the only coaster you can ride standing up, talk about intensity!! 145', 60 mph and tons of loops, drops and turns.

On the sky ride you can see the whole park ~ I admit I was freaking out a tiny bit when the wind was blowing us!

Meet Avery James, isn't she beautiful??
"We can't stay here, this is bat country!"

We didn't remember the Tilt O Wheel being so fast!! It's not just a kids ride anymore!
Everyone needs a 5' Rasta Banana!

Week 36 ~ 39th Annual Forest Park Balloon Race!!

I LOVE the Forest Park Balloon Race!!
I remember years ago going with my family, my dad putting me atop his shoulders as the balloons inflated and began their lift off. We would hurry to the van as soon as they took off so we could chase them and hopefully get to see them land, one year we even got to help a pilot land, talk about great memories!! I try to go every year to soak it all in: the people, the food (funnel cakes ~ YUM!), the interaction of the teammates on the field and of course all of the balloons!! This year I was able to capture a ton of really wonderful images, memories that reside in our family just as the images my dad took long ago with his Canon 35mm.

Did you and your family go to the Balloon Race? Share your photo with me ~
