Week 8 - Dog Gone It!

Shaun & I spent yesterday hanging out with a couple of good 'ol boys, Martin & Buddy. I volunteered at an animal shelter for 2 years and each week I had a new favorite I wanted to adopt, it's probably a good thing we cannot have pets in our apartment! Doggie sitting is a great way to get my fix but we do miss the pitter patter of little nails on the hardwood floors and just the warmth of the love they provide.

This is Buddy, a 14 year old Daschund. Ridden with arthritis, he still has the heart of a puppy.

This is Martin, a 11 year old Daschund mix with such a sweet personality.
Playful and attentive.

Week 7 - Playing with my new lens!

Hi & thanks for stopping by Week 7 of Flatt 52! Thanks to you, I am up to 453 views and counting! :)

I recently bought a Canon 50mm F/1.4 lens for my Rebel XS. I have so much to learn about this lens but have had fun the last couple of days playing around. Below are a few shots!

What is the last thing you treated yourself to?

Week 6 - Market Mayhem

We actually seen the sun & 40' here in St Louie yesterday! So I took advantage and headed down to our local farmers market. I love that place. It's filled with tons of fresh fruits and veggies, live music, fresh flowers, handmade goods, butcher shops (and yes! they have Coon in case you were wondering) and yummy bloody marys!!

Where do you get your produce? Local Market or Grocer?

Week 5 - To the Moon and back

"I love you to the Moon and back" is what I told my sweet little nieces while tucking them in as they snuggled at our house for the night.
For those of you who know me well, know I am always on the hunt for maps or globes. Though I have many globes of different colors and sizes (another post for another day!), I did not own a Moon of any kind until a couple months ago. A friend surprised me with it's tiny cuteness and it now sits on the computer desk where it makes me smile every time I see it.

So today, I took advantage of the natural light and snapped a few photos.

What is one of your favorite little treasures?
