Week ~ 24 Happy Birthday Avery!

Our sweet little niece Avery James turn 8 this week. It's so funny how much she has grown (physically and personality) in the last year. She has such a kind heart, always sharing her love and affection.

Week 22 - 2011 Susan G Komen - Race For The Cure

Hello! Thank you for waiting patiently while my computer pitched it's fit. :)

I had such an amazing experience the first time we walked the Susan G Komen Race For The Cure that my friend Melissa and I decided to make it a yearly tradition. It is a heartwarming and hopeful event that I am proud to be a part of. This year there were over 70,000 participants and we raised 2.5 million dollars!!

The flag was flying high and proud that day

Week 21 ~ Community Garden

Across from our apartment there is a small community garden with local produce, wildflowers, plants that have been planted by the area residents. I have been thinking about signing up to have a space of our own in the garden since we moved to Soulard. I try to buy local and organic produce and ingredients so it's about time to sign up to grow our own! What goodies have you planted in your garden this year?
